Little Barrie back in the city

I remember seeing Little Barrie some two years ago, in the small hall at Paradiso, the coziest concert hall in Amsterdam. Were there altogether more than thirty people attending the concert? Not sure. A few months later, at Melkweg, the attendance was even lower. Both concerts were great, no doubt, in Melkweg we even ended up got invited for a drink with the band backstage after the concert (a true rock and roll moment for me!) But I was a little afraid that that was it for the band.
I was up to a real surprise last week. Not only Little Barrie returned back to the city, they took the hall by storm by their energetic yet soulful sound and - they sold out! The guys really enjoyed them selves, band’s new drummer Billy Skinner did not stop smiling and Barrie wasn’t all that nervous anymore, either. Well done, definitelly one the most enjoyable, “tangible” gigs of the year so far for me!
